IENE 11- PROVAC   Culturally Competent Training Model


The IENE11 Training Model is based on the PTT/IENE Model developed during the IENE projects.

Each module of the Training Model  comprises four sub-constructs which represent the content map.

The development of the statements   were established in the Delphi study and were based on the international and partners’ national literature reviews on four thematic areas: a) Policies, Strategies and legislation related to vaccination and immunization programmes b) Information on vaccine and vaccination, c) Behaviour and attitudes towards vaccination, d) Interventions to promote vaccination and tackling of vaccine hesitancy (Result1).

The Training Curriculum


The Curriculum addresses primarily to nurses and doctors involved in delivering vaccination, school nurses and doctors, community nurses, health visitors but also to sanitary mediators and other healthcare professionals working with disadvantaged people and vulnerable groups or other hard to reach groups It is aiming at enhancing their knowledge, communication skills, cultural and social competences and empower them for promoting vaccination and tackling the vaccine hesitancy.

The  curriculum is composed of four learning Modules following the four constructs of the PTT/IENE Model and the conceptual PTT/IENE11 above.

  2. Cultural Knowledge
  3. Cultural Sensitivity
  4. Cultural Competence
